My name is Frank Cunningham   I am an inventor and I believe I am the original inventor of the smart doorbell (sometimes called ring doorbell)  unfortunately I was unable to benefit from my granted patent in any way, this however has not deterred me from doing what I am clearly good at for the benefit of others as I do not wish to waste my talents.

As everyone knows there are a lot of delivery vans on the road delivering parcels etc and unfortunately also adding to the traffic congestion and pollution.  There are also amazon parcel portals and other portals such inpost.co.uk etc  at many shopping centres and even local shops that were set up to make it easy for people to get hold of their parcels if at work etc and not home to take the parcel in and these are no doubt effective to deal with this very issue.

 With respect this innovation goes much further it allows for parcels from all other independent delivery firms as well including letters etc from Royal Mail and many others to be delivered to your car parked on the street or outside your work place and outside your gym etc and has many more options regarding this particular problem including night time delivery. 

How this innovation would work for one example there would be a delivery that can take place at night and it would be to deliver parcels to your car boot etc (this could be by using a 3 word GPS code or other similar means to ensure it is exactly the right car because the car may be in town or at another address)  whatever is more nearer or convenient.

The car maker could provide this type of keycode lock  (which could also operate via your phone too via an app or by A.I.  etc)  to open your car boot and this code can be altered daily so Royal Mail or others can deliver parcels to your boot by using a tempory code given by you to them to unlock your car boot from a distant location or in a set time frame.

These types of code locks can also be supplied separate to older models by car makers.  The key is to make it easy for delivery to take place at night etc and get vans off the road in daytime etc and or take place in town or outside your workplace.  It is a much more efficient , secure and safe way to deliver parcels and will help in a big way with having less pollution & less traffic jams around in the day time from many countless thousands of delivery vans.

If you combine this innovation together with my other innovations around traffic jams and congestion then it could well end up being the silver bullet regarding this entire problem.

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles USA that sadly cost at least 29 lives with others missing and forced up to 100,000 people to flee the area with estimates at  150 Billion Dollars in damage needs serious attention.  With respect the current way of dealing with these sorts of events is clearly outdated and needs some serious new methods and innovations to deal with these kinds of common tragic events.

My recent patent application GB2316232.4   (soon to be published) that I make free to use for anyone in order to save lives and peoples homes goes some way I believe in getting to grips with these now common events that happen even in January never mind summer.

 I would appreciate help from others including Microsoft and Google and other search engines to get these patents seen by people who can make it a reality and save lives.  

We need to be able to create more fire breaks in between these fires in order to stop them in there tracks and this innovation appears to do exactly that.  There  are  now many more wildfires costing many lives and many Billions of dollars.  Just look at Hawaii and there recent wildfire that cost many lives .  The Most Costly Wildfire before this curent one was the camp fire in 2018 that burned 18,000 structures and 153,000 acres of woodland estimated to have cost 11 Billion dollars.  The dixie fire burned for 103 days destroying a million acres of forest with a final cost of $637 million dollars  Experts state that wildfires cost up to 900 Billion dollars a year in the USA alone!

Smart doorbells go off motion detection even if that is flickering flames or moving smoke it will alert to fire.  These can be the perfect solution to wildfires if you can add inventive step which is what the brand new app Watch Duty has done gaining millions of users in days by combining the likes of ring doorbells with other information like maps etc  to warn people of where the fire is moving.  They also say it is in every firefighters pocket.  If it saves lives then all the better for the Watch Duty app.  This innovation GB2316232.4 goes much further than the Watch Duty app and points to solutions that would be game changers.  If you add inventive step to the smart doorbell with regards to wildfires it will save many lives and billions of dollars.

When I say use inventive step and upgrade the innovation I mean to make it work better against warnings around wildfires and more importantly exactly where they may be heading.  The main problem when tackling these wildfires is  that they change direction very quickly and are unpredictable because of constant changing winds.  This new wildfire device would have all the features of a smart doorbell which already works well to warn against fires and add more features such as the ability to check wind speed and direction as well as temperature.  

This would allow real time live information to know exactly when and where it is going at any one time thereby allowing you to place firebreaks in exactly the right places at exactly the right time in order to stop the wildfires in their tracks  this kind of thing has never been thought of before and people are only just beginning to see that smart doorbells can be used against fires let alone adding these extra vital features that can stop them.

These extra features allow real time live information to assess where the seat of the fire is and where it is moving live before it changes again.  It can also warn people and firefighters of the encroaching dangers of a wildfire.  That way the firefighters can focus their attention on where they need to most.  I have no doubt that if these innovations are used correctly it would save many lives and billions of dollars.  

As a further innovation the above wildfire prevention device mentioned could be attached to a spike device and these spikes then dropped from helicopter to around the wildfire to give invaluable information needed to stop these sorts of wildfires getting out of control.  It could also be attached to drones to do something similar to get near the fire and indicate where the actual seat of the fire is and more importantly where it is heading in order to head it off.  In fact it may well be possible for the firefighters in Los Angeles now to add devices to drones that measure windspeed and direction together with a temperature gauge to perhaps use now to create fire breaks especially in light of the fact the hydrants have been unreliable.

This device could also be used to protect people against Twisters,  Hurricanes and Tornadoes because of the measurement of windspeed and direction etc.  It would be like a ring doorbell but with all the above features then if an unpredictable  Twister or Hurricane suddenly changes direction and is heading for your property this doorbell will then alert you in good time to a serious build up of windspeed and direction at your very front door thereby allowing you to change location quickly and save your life.  Because of the fact that these kinds of events are also extremely common in the USA and other places it will clearly save many lives.

I  saw a recent interview with the head firefighters at the command centre in Los Angeles and was able to glean some valuable information from this interview because the right questions were asked regarding these wildfires and because of that information it inspired me to think differently on how to reduce the impact of these fires  I am now working on further and better innovations around these terrible events and will keep you posted.  ‎Ring Door Bell SAVED MY FAMILIES LIFE! | Ring Community

THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF CONTROVERSY SURROUNDING SMART MOTORWAYS AND SADLY A NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES ON THEM IN THE UK.  THE MAIN COMPLAIN IS THAT IF YOU BREAK DOWN IN YOUR CAR IN A LIVE LANE OTHER CARS BEHIND MAY NOT REALISE IT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE, AND COLLIDE WITH YOUR STOPPED CAR.

THERE ARE A NUMBER OF WAYS TO DEAL WITH THESE PROBLEMS WITH THE BEST BEING A TYPE OF APP THAT EVERYONE WHO USES A SMART MOTORWAY SHOULD HAVE ON THEIR PHONE OR SAT NAV ETC.   THEN IF THE CAR FURTHER DOWN THE MOTORWAY BREAKS DOWN, THE MOTORWAY CONTROL CENTRE CCTV PICKS THIS IMAGE UP AND IMMEDIATELY RELAYS THIS IMAGE OF THE BROKEN DOWN CAR TO OTHER CARS APPS OR SAT NAVS THAT ARE NEARBY WITH A SUBTLE NOISE ALERT TO GET YOUR ATTENTION.  THIS SHOULD MORE THAN ALERT OTHERS TO CHANGE LANE AND OR SLOW DOWN OR ACT ACCORDINGLY.  THIS COULD ALSO BE DONE BY A.I.

IF THE BREAKDOWN HAPPENS AT A CERTAIN SPOT BETWEEN MOTORWAY GANTRYS THEN IT MAY BE TRICKIER TO SEE THE X OR ARROW IN TIME SHOWING CHANGE LANE ON THE GANTRY ITSELF.  ALSO PEOPLES EYES ARE NOT GLUED OR FIXED TO THE MOTORWAY GANTRY ALL THE TIME BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED TO FOCUS AHEAD WITH THE OCCASIONAL GLANCE AT THE GANTRY AS IT SHOULD BE.  THIS INNOVATION TAKES ACCOUNT OF ALL THESE DELAYS THAT CAN ADD VITAL SECONDS TO YOUR RESPONSE TIME.  

ON A FAST FLOWING MOTORWAY EXTRA TIME AND SECONDS ARE A LUXURY.  WHAT IS NEEDED IS SPIT SECOND TIMING AND ACTIONS IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS.  YOUR PHONE ON A PHONE HOLDER SHOWS YOU THE BROKEN DOWN CAR JUST AHEAD WITH A SUBTLE NOISE ALERT.  THEN BECAUSE OF THIS YOU HAVE GOT VALUABLE TIME TO RESPOND QUICKLY SUCH AS A SECOND OR TWO.  ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THIS KIND OF TIME FRAME ON A FAST FLOWING MOTORWAY WILL SADLY COST LIVES.

ANOTHER WAY TO TACKLE THIS PROBLEM IF THE BREAKDOWN HAPPENS BETWEEN MOTORWAY GANTRY'S  THEN A DRONE THAT COULD BE DOCKED ON TOP OF THE GANTRY WOULD FLY DOWN TO POSITION ITSELF ACCORDINGLY AND HAVE A LIGHT WEIGHT DIGITAL DISPLAY BOX TO WARN OTHERS LANE IS CLOSED AND DISPLAY AN X OR ARROW POINTING TO THE NEXT LANE ETC.

GOVERNMENTS HAVE A RIGHT TO COPY THIS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN ORDER TO SAVE LIVES AND HELP WITH ENVIRONMENT ISSUES.

One of the main problems these days that every country faces is traffic jams and despite all kinds of attempts to fix this problem it has got worse not better.  It will also get even more problematic in the future if steps are not taken

There are other alternatives like using underground tunnels etc and this would definitely make a serious difference but the problem will be so bad in the near future that you will need every trick in the book just to keep ahead of the problem.   It requires governments to tackle this problem in several different ways simultaneously in order to fix this longstanding issue

I have a number of solutions regarding this problem.  If we can get the traffic moving there will also be less pollution.  Clearly all these traffic jams simply pile on the pollution for the public.  Not to mention the fact it will save governments and economies countless lost hours in productivity and billions in lost costs.  .Ring Doorbell Saved My Life

 

SMARTER TRAFFIC LIGHTS  /  CONGESTION BUSTERS

Any driver reading this will understand where I am coming from.  You are behind a Bus that has stopped at the traffic lights and in the other lane their is a lorry.  When the lights go to green there is a significant delay as the heavy vehicles need to build up enough power to propel them very slowly forward, meantime you cannot overtake and simply have to wait.  

This kind of thing is happening  at many traffic lights where heavy vehicles take ages to move from a standing stop.  This I believe is the main cause of traffic jams because with this happening all the way down the road at most traffic lights it is completely killing the momentum of the traffic all the way down the road as it has a knock on effect.  The solution is to have either A.I. (artificial intelligence) or operated from a control room.

There could be two types of light sequences depending on the traffic.  One for normal conditions and one for rush hour when lights can be delayed going red when appropriate.

If for example its rush hour and two heavy vehicles with heavy weight are about to be stopped at the lights, a controller elsewhere sees this and puts a delay on the red light a second or two just long enough so the heavy lorry / buses are allowed through and do not end up at the front of the traffic lights to hold everyone back. (this could also be done by A.I)

A means to delay traffic lights coming on red depending on the vehicles about to be stopped to ensure that all heavy vehicles where possible are further back in the traffic queue to allow other faster cars etc to overtake and keep the momentum of the traffic going regardless of the number of vehicles.  It may not be possible to do this all the time but if it can be done most of the time then this is enough to make all the difference.

A device that can be fitted to or linked to a mobile phone. A device that can be connected to a computer, a laptop or other fixed or portable machines.

A device that acts like a scanner memory pen that can be either built into a mobile phone or linked. It can also be built into or linked via broadband or other application to a computer.

The device could be used to scan over words in a book say and then the words that have been scanned are then translated into any language required such as English, German, Spanish, French, etc using a type of word recognition system. These words the scanner picks up in the language that is required can then be repeated in a different language either through an ear piece or speaker or printed on a phone screen or other digital device.

The device can also store information. It can also take English verbal words from an individual and translate those words into say french. This verbal sentence can then be on the screen of the mobile phone or fixed computer in french. The device would make it easier for people of different languages to immediately communicate in spoken and written Example being I can scan the words "This is a memo pen" with the device and then translate this sentence into german for my german friend to read and understand from my phone screen or compjiter screen, or he can hear the words in german through an earpiece.

Example being I can say the words "This is a memo pen" and the device can turn this into french for my french friend to hear via an earpiece and understand.

The device can be made to work with just one particular language or a variety of languages. The device could also be made for working either through verbal translation on its own or the scan and read translation on its own. It would also be useful for illiterate or partially blind people to scan and hear what the words say through an ear piece or other speaker system.

They could then learn to read quickly and in private
